Rajvir Singh and his contribution towards development of tourism in Rajasthan.

Thakur RAJVIR SINGH, who belongs to the Royal house of Dundlod, in Shekhawati, Rajasthan
has been actively associated with tourism in Rajasthan since 1960 and who with his foresight was instrumental in organising Royal Castle Tours in 1972 and thus opening new areas for tourists in Rjasthan like Shekhawati, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Kota, Bundi, Ranthambore and Chitaurgarh. At each place the tourist groups stayed at the palaces and for them dinner parties were arranged graced by the Royal families.

Rajvir Singh was the fist to start Adventure Tours in Rajasthan. He Organised the first ten days Camel Safari Expendetion From Gajner to Jaislamer During March 1979. It was a Unique event in Rajasthan. Later he Organised 65 Camel Safari of all Nationals from Gajner to Jaislamer. Camel Safari has its popularity even today.

In 1979 he Organised the fist Horse Safari in Jolore district of Rajasthan. Horse safaries today are very popular in Rajasthan.
Rajvir Singh introduced Trekking Tours in 1980 in the Arawali Hills of Rajasthan. During Trekking you pass through dense Forest where one could see Wild Life, Temples and Castles. The Trekking Tour is organised through forest to village Ghanerao and than to the Impressive Fort of Kumbhalgarh.

On 10th Oct. 1971 Indian Airlines Inaugural Flight to Jodhpur. the Chief Guest was Rajmata Krishna Kumari of Jodhpur who was also at that time Member of Parliament. Indian Airlines appointed Rajvir Singh as their Ticketing and Handling agent in Jodhpur. For Five Year Rajvir Singh provided efficient Services.
